Giving a Rating

This page walks through submitting a rating from start to finish — for both rating a carrier (after they delivered for you) and rating a shipper (after you delivered for them).

Open the Rating Form

You can reach the rating form two ways:

From a completed deal

Open the freight order or fleet offer details page. Once the deal is Completed, the rating section appears at the bottom of the page.

From the Pending Reviews tab

Go to Settings → Ratings. The first tab, "Pending Reviews", lists every completed deal you can still rate. Click an entry to open it and rate.

Pending Reviews tab listing deals to rate

Step 1 — Pick Your Star Rating

1-5 star input

Click between 1 and 5 stars under "Overall Rating". This is required — the form won't submit without a star count.

A small "X days remaining" notice appears in yellow when fewer than 7 days are left. Pay attention — once expired, you can't rate this deal at all.

Step 2 — Fill the Form (Carrier or Shipper)

The fields differ depending on which side you're rating.

If you're a Shipper rating the Carrier

The form is titled "Rate Your Experience with the Carrier". If you give less than 5 stars, a section called "What went wrong?" appears with checkboxes:

  • Document delivery — did paperwork (CMR, invoices) arrive correctly?
  • Communication — was the carrier responsive?
  • Care for goods — was the cargo handled properly?
  • Service as agreed — did they deliver what was promised?
  • Timely transport execution — was pickup and delivery on time?

Tick all that apply.

If you're a Carrier rating the Shipper

The form is titled "Rate Your Experience with the Shipper". The Payment Status section is always visible.

When you give 5 stars

Pick one of these:

  • "Payment deadline has not expired yet" — too early to know yet, but everything else was great
  • "Paid on time" — payment arrived as agreed

When you give 1-4 stars

You'll see more fields:

  1. Checkbox: "Payment deadline has not expired yet" — tick this if it's still within the agreed payment window. If you don't tick it, you'll see further options:
  2. Payment outcome (radio):
    • "Paid on time"
    • "Unpaid" — opens a nested checklist of issues:
      • The company avoids payment
      • The company intentionally delays payment
      • The company does not respond
      • Sent for debt collection
    • "Delayed payment" — opens a delay-duration radio:
      • Up to 15 days
      • Over 15 days
      • Over 30 days
      • Over 60 days
  3. Other issues (checkboxes):
    • Communication
    • Cargo not as described
    • Waiting time for loading
    • Waiting time for unloading

The detailed payment fields exist because, unlike a transport problem (which you know about right away), payment behaviour can take weeks to surface — that's why carriers get 120 days to rate.

Step 3 — Add a Comment (Optional)

A textarea labeled "Comment" with placeholder "Share your experience..." lets you add up to 256 characters of free text. A counter under the field shows "X / 256 characters".

If you go over 256 characters, you'll see "Comment must not exceed 256 characters" and the form won't submit until you trim it.

Step 4 — Confirm and Submit

Clicking "Submit Rating" opens a "Confirm Your Rating" dialog summarizing what you're about to send:

  • Overall Rating: your star count
  • Issues Reported — bullets of every issue checkbox you ticked
  • Payment Status and Delay Duration if you're a carrier
  • Payment Issues — shown as red badges for unpaid scenarios
  • Other Issues — bullets
  • Comment — quoted in italics

A warning at the bottom reminds you:

⚠️ Once submitted, this rating cannot be edited or deleted.

Two buttons:

  • "Go Back" — return to the form to make changes
  • "Confirm & Submit" — sends the rating

After Submission

You'll see a green toast:

"Rating submitted successfully!"

🪙 You earned 5 PickUp Coins for giving a rating!

The rating immediately:

  • Appears in Settings → Ratings → Ratings I Give (under the right "As Orderer" or "As Contractor" tab)
  • Becomes visible to the rated company in their "Ratings I Receive" tab
  • Updates the rated company's average score and distribution

Editing Within 24 Hours

Within 24 hours of submitting, you can change a rating: open it from your "Ratings I Give" list, edit it, and save. After 24 hours, the edit button disappears and the rating becomes permanent.

There is no delete option. Be sure of what you submit. Use the confirmation dialog as your final check.

Already Rated This Deal?

If you've already rated a deal, opening it again shows a green confirmation: "You have already reviewed this deal." Below it you'll see your submitted rating, read-only.

Tips

Make ratings useful

  • Be specific in the comment. A 1-star with no detail tells future partners nothing — three words about what went wrong matters.
  • Tick all relevant issues. Issue tags feed the category breakdown that other companies see — they're how subtle patterns surface across many deals.
  • Be fair. A late delivery due to an obvious cause (snowstorm, customs delay) might not deserve 1 star.
  • Rate quickly. Memory fades; rate while details are fresh and don't let the deadline expire.

Troubleshooting

"Please select a rating"

You clicked submit without picking any stars. Tap one of the stars first.

"Failed to submit rating"

A connection or server hiccup. Wait a moment and click Submit again — your form contents are preserved.

"The review period for this deal has expired"

You're past the 60- or 120-day window. Unfortunately the rating slot is closed for this deal. The review counts toward neither side's average.

The rating button isn't visible

  • The deal isn't Completed yet — only completed deals can be rated.
  • You may not have "Give ratings" permission. Owners have it by default; ask your owner to grant it.
  • Your company has already submitted a rating for this deal (only one per company).
